“fascinated about injuries and how they can be prevented…”

Sport has always been my biggest passion. From a young age I have always been fascinated about injuries and how they can be prevented and dealt with. I have always played football as a goalkeeper at a high level from national league level for two and a half years with Galway United to now playing in the top division of Galway amateur football with my local club Colga F.C. I am also currently coaching with the Galway United U14 Boys squad.

With all that experience I have been lucky enough to be around such great people and learn about so many different things in relation to injury and injury prevention without having to pick up a book! When I finished school, I knew that I had to do something in this field but instead I ended up doing the complete opposite. I started a business degree in Galway and quickly realised it wasn’t for me. Leaving that course and making the drastic change to what I do now is one of the best decisions I have ever made. In the past few years, I haven’t looked back and continued to further my education with some great courses. I am now sure that treating and helping people whether it be sport or in every day life overcome obstacles is exactly what I want to do.

I am so grateful to family, friends and other members in this field who have helped me get on my feet and been available to me whenever I have needed them. I am delighted to be where I am and forever grateful to my local club Colga who allow me to practice from their club grounds. I have already helped a lot of people and hope to help many more on this long journey.
